Who we are

Dende Kids operates www.dendekids.com, a learning library of books, videos and games for children in Tanzania. This page explains what information we collect and how it is used. Questions? Email hello@dendekids.com.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and, if you provide it, a phone number.
• Payment details — the mobile money number used at checkout, the amount, the plan and the payment reference. Card and mobile wallet PINs are never seen or stored by us; payments are processed by ClickPesa.
• Usage data — which library items you open, so we can keep improving the catalogue.

Children's privacy

Accounts on Dende Kids are created and managed by a parent, guardian or teacher. We do not ask children to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account, to unlock premium content for active subscribers, to process mobile money payments and send receipts, to respond to support requests, and to keep the service safe and working.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only what is necessary with the providers that run the service: ClickPesa for mobile money payments and our cloud hosting and database provider for authentication, storage and delivery.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time by emailing us. Deleting your account ends access to premium content immediately.

Security & retention

Access to your data is restricted by per-account access rules, and premium files are served through short-lived signed links. We keep account and payment records for as long as your account exists and for as long as we are required to keep financial records.
